The Mother, the sons and the Holy River

The tumultuous history of the Sutlej River, which has flowed from the Himalayas in Tibet and across the Indian subcontinent for thousands of years and today forms the border between India and Pakistan. The river, which once carried the legacy of the Vedas, the ancient Indian hymns, of martyrs and mothers who fought for the freedom of their land, became a hostage of colonization, capitalism, climate changes and the conflict between these two nuclear nations.
