Ynae Lopes dos Santos is the curator of Panels, Lectures, and Debates for the festival. A PhD in History from the University of São Paulo, writer, curator, columnist, and professor of American History at the Federal Fluminense University. Her research areas focus on the history of slavery and ethnic-racial relations in the Americas. She has published the books Além da senzala: arranjos escravos de moradia no Rio de Janeiro 1808-1850 (Hucitec, 2010), História da África e do Brasil afrodescendente (Pallas, 2017), Juliano Moreira: o médico negro na fundação da psiquiatria brasileira (EdUFF, 2020), and Racismo brasileiro: uma história da formação do país (Todavia, 2022). In 2025, she released Irmãs do Atlântico: escravidão e espaço urbano no Rio de Janeiro e Havana. She joined the Filmambiente team in 2026.
