Listen: The Land Was Torn

Starting from the universe of three indigenous peoples pressed by the destruction caused by illegal mining activities, the film proposes an approximation to the thought of the Yanomami, Munduruku, and Mẽbêngôkre peoples in the establishment of a historic alliance in defence of their territories. As a result, it is a narrative about resistance and resilience in the form of an unprecedented union that asserts the maintenance of their physical and subjective territories. In addition to the mining destruction, this film explores the inseparability of indigenous existence and territory.
